MetalFX is a leading, precision sheet metal shop for high-volume punching, custom order stamping, laser cutting, sheet metal welding/fabrication, assembly and a wide range of sheet metal fabrication services per ISO 9001.

Products include custom game consoles, arcade game housings, stand-alone public kiosks for indoor/outdoor use (digital, keyboard or touch screen kiosk). We manufacture custom sheet metal components for alternative/renewable energy products (wind/solar power including photovoltaic “PV” solar cell support equipment) and medical equipment (biotech and diagnostic laboratory instrument housings, metal chassis and frames). Biomedical customers in Northern California include Bio-Rad, Applera Corporation (Applied Biosystems Pleasanton/Foster City), Optiscan, Zeltiq and Microchip Bioscience.

We accept 3D CAD files (SolidWorks, ProE…) for directly download into our CNC manufacturing equipment for quick-response, rapid-prototype manufacturing of first articles and pilot production of housings, chassis and 3D sheetmetal enclosures. Sheet Metal Fabrication processing equipment includes Amada CNC turret punch presses (up to 48in x 120in sheet), Sutherland, Heim and Bliss sheetmetal presses, Bytronics laser cutter (up to 1in thick mild steel, 3/8 thk aluminum and 1/2in thk stainless steel), programmable CNC press brakes (up to 125 ton x 120in), riveting, automated pem nut insertion/fastener installation, CNC machining (milling, machining, turning), surface grinding, wire EDM, heavy payload 3 ton overhead bridge crane (40x60 foot), plasma arc cutting and extensive welding (TIG, MIG, Arc, Resistance, Spot and Stud welding). We also offer engineering services including 2D/3D CAD design in Pro-E, SolidWorks, CadKey, HP SolidDesigner and others. Our in-house finishing services include plating (phosphate, alodine, chromate and passivation), silk screening, painting and powdercoating.
